Lizzie, Pete and Presley

I know I say this about every photoshoot, and maybe that's just a true testimony to how much I absolutely LOVE my job, but this photoshoot was definitely one of my most very favorites. I mean, how many people can say that their job is hanging out with a SUPER rad and dear friend and her BEAUTIFUL babies capturing them on film?! :) Well, I can! :D I can't wait to get back to Pendleton in August for more photoshoots!

Getting back into the swing of things!

I've been a real slacker lately and I'm happy to say that I'm back in action! :)

Open sessions are still available, so please email me at Shamiah2323@aol.com or text me at 541-556-4275 to book a photoshoot. :D

HAPPY SUMMER!!!

One likes to be photographed, one does not.

Fortunately one of my children loves to be photographed. :) Jackson, on the other hand, doesn't find it as thrilling as Taylor does. He'll give me the long sigh and politely comply with my requests to take his picture, but a lot of the shots come out looking truly posed. lol So, I think if I give him time in between my impromptu photo shoots, he'll warm up to the camera a bit more. Because Lord knows that boy is SO gorgeous and SO photogenic!!!! As you can clearly see here, where he's caught off guard, not ready for a picture, not smiling, but overwhelmingly handsome. (I would say beautiful, but I guess that's not "manly" enough. lol)

My daughter, unlike her brother, LOVES to be photographed. In fact, she's always on me to take pictures of her. Because, she, in her own words, "is so pretty". I happen to wholeheartedly agree with her. :) This photo takes my breath away. Her eyes, her face, everything about this picture, I just love. Even her eyebrows that may be out of control one of these days very soon and then I'll have to teach her the art of tweezing. :)

I am so blessed with not only smart, funny, polite, nice kids, but beautiful ones also. :)

The newly wedded couple...Shannon and Crystal Thatcher!

MY FIRST WEDDING!!!!!!

I'm SO glad I was given the privilege to do this shoot! I had SO much fun and got LOTS of experience and I think some pretty good shots! :)

Thank you Shannon and Crystal! And congratulations on your new life together!

Eric and Shelby are engaged!!!

I had such a good time on this shoot.

Seeing two people who are so in love always makes me smile and happy. I loved all their candid moments, they're adorable together!

Congratulations you two!!

Skovbo Family Christmas Shoot

As much as I absolutely love photography and taking pictures, I get so bummed out when pictures don't turn out the way I want them to look. Of course, I want to settle for no less than perfection, but I am by no means perfect, so I'm going to have to settle for less, lol. I desperately need a set of lights. Those umbrella type lights to set up for indoor shoots. I don't even know what they're called! That's pretty bad, huh? Anyway, I love how we all look in these pictures, and of course the people in them, but I'm so discouraged by the lighting. I tried the best I could but just didn't get it right. Granted I only have the flash on my camera (the standard one, not even an external one) for now, but still......*sigh*ugh*sigh*. I'm annoyed by the shadows and I wanted the one with all of us to look so much better. Oh well. Hopefully we're good looking enough people that no one notices the shadows and the lighting. LOL!

My Christamsy kidd-o's

It seems like now more than ever I'm noticing just how grown up my kids are, and I'm hating it. Not hating who they are becoming, NOT AT ALL, because I LOVE who they are, but I hate them not being little anymore. I hate Jackson not saying "poop come down" in a SUPER deep voice while we were potty training him. I hate Taylor not crinkling up her little nose and making the CUTEST little noise ever that she used to do. I can't stand it. Even to the point that if we could, I would have another baby. Anyone who knows me knows that having another baby would NEVER be something that I would do. But it seems like lately, I just crave having an infant, toddler, little kid. My kids are just so big and grown up. But, alas, since we can't have anymore (well, I could, but Miah can't, lol) kids, I will have to resort to crying over Jax and Tay's baby pictures.
But I do love having older kids at the same time. They can do everything themselves, we can have real, meaningful, deep, heartfelt conversations, they're so funny that sometimes it amazes me (especially my little feisty Tay!). I just love my kids. :)
