I know I said...

that I wasn't really a fan of landscape photography, but I think I lied. *giggle* The more I do, the more I LOVE taking nature pictures. Landscapes, close-ups, even insects! LOL! Here are a few of my most recent nature/landscape photos.

FINALLY! I got the lens I've been wanting since I got my new camera! :)

My husband bought me the lens I have been CRAVING ever since I bought my camera. It's a tiny little thing, it's all manual and it doesn't even zoom in or out. But I HAD to have it. I love love LOVE how it takes pictures. And I'm actually glad that it's all manual because I need to get more comfortable doing things manually anyway. :) It has such a shallow depth of field and the effect it gives pictures is just perfect. Definitely my style of photography.
Thank you Miah!

Alisha and Carter :)

I've known Alisha literally my whole life, since we were babies, and we've always been great friends. I had the great opportunity of photographing her and her beautiful son Carter! I had so much fun. :)

Beautiful scary photo op! :)

My family and I were on a drive not too long ago. We LOVE to go on long drives, especially in the fall. Well, I'd like to think my family loves drives as much as I do, but honestly, I don't think they do. But, eh, it's all good. :) Miah likes them, I think. My kids do sometimes, not so much other times. But anyway, I'm off topic, lol.
We drove by this old abandoned house and I instantly fell in love.

In my mind, I kept imagining photo shoots there with kids, families, senior pictures, even weddings! My mind was racing with ideas of what I could do with this one house. It's just a house! But it sang to me. I'm not really sure why, but it just did.
So today I went and had lunch with my husband and thought I'd drive by that old house and snap a few pictures of it on my way home. I did and had a good time. But I was scared to death when I got there by myself! First of all, it looks as though it had been empty for a LONG time. There are no steps up to the house which is probably a good 5 or 6 feet off of the ground. So bummer, there went that idea. I can't do photoshoots up there! Well, I could.... I'd just need someone to hoist everyone up on to the porch. lol, I guess that could be doable. And secondly, there were those "POSTED" "No Trespassing" signs EVERYWHERE! Yikes. I was scared I was going to get arrested or something. So I made up my mind that if anyone stopped, I'd just say I was taking pictures for someone I knew who was interested in the house/property. Ugh, I know, I know, that wasn't the truth, but that's just what I thought I'd do. :/
The house sits on a few acres, I think and the surroundings are just as mysterious and beautiful. I was only there for about 10 minutes, but I really loved being there! Even though I was scared of getting eaten by a bear or hobo or something that I'm SURE was hiding out SOMEWHERE! LOL!!!!
